Am Gfillberg
Our highest vineyard is located on the “Gfillberg”, just above the wine village St. Pauls, about 600 meters above sea level. The impressive panorama around Boymont Castle gives a view of almost all the vineyards of Appiano and even Bolzano.
On this site, we almost exclusively cultivate white grape varieties and, due to global warming, also Pinot Noir.
Directly on the Gfillberg, you can find the geological break between deep porphyry subsoils and gravelly, calcareous and clayey alluvial soils with shell limestone.
Elegant, crisp, and mineral wines grow on this site. Our recently planted vineyards (Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir) promise great potential.
Our Pinot Blanc “Vom Muschelkalk” grows along the slope on 60-year-old Pergola vines.
